Resilience Fitness probably started over 30 years ago, when on my 4th birthday, my dad presented me with a small set of vinyl dumbbells.
I was lucky enough to have an awesome role model in my dad. I remember standing next to him over the years as we worked out together, marvelling at his strength and resilience. Like many young boys, I grew up believing my dad was superman.
Fast forward to today and I still believe my dad’s superman. He’s fit and healthy and at over 70, he’s still happy to work out with me in the gym (those weights in the picture are actually the same weights he used when I was 4 years old), go for a bike ride or play a few sets of tennis.
He’s had aches and pains over the years, but nothing that’s stopped him. He’s slowed down a little when necessary, cut back on the not so healthy stuff if he needed to, but otherwise he’s still enjoyed everything life has to offer.
So Resilience Fitness is about being able to share whatever experiences you want, with those you love, unhampered by aches, pains or health limitations.
We’ve seen hundreds of clients discover new areas of enjoyment after achieving optimal health and fitness. One developed the strength to pick up his newborn baby daughter after injuring his back. Another discovered cycling holidays with her partner after hating sports since she was a child. Others have simply discovered how much more life has to offer once you feel better about your appearance or have the energy and ability to take advantage of those opportunities.
So that’s what we’re here to provide. Better futures for our clients. We’re lucky enough to have the health and fitness that allows us to resist illness and injury, persist through challenges and ultimately overcome them all. And that’s what we want for you. And hey, the fact that you’ll look amazing on the beach too is a bonus.
